Job Vacancies at Splash Buckshaw

This is an archived news post from Splash at The Hub Buckshaw. In July 2015 we had three exciting opportunities at our busy swimming pool in the heart of Buckshaw Village, Chorley. The vacancies below have long since been filled and the details are shared here for reference only.

Swimming teachers

We were looking for passionate, enthusiastic and organised swimming teachers to join our team, based at Lower Darwen and Buckshaw Village. The right person would be professional, punctual and well organised, taking responsibility for the implementation, development and organisation of our swimming classes.

The role called for someone with the following skills:

• Level 2 Teaching Aquatics qualification (essential)
• Valid National Rescue Award, Pool Attendant qualification or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (desirable, not essential)
• Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
• Good communicator

Day to day responsibilities included the high quality delivery of swimming classes alongside administrative tasks such as lesson plans, schemes of work and assessments.

Part time evening and weekend receptionist

A part time position was available for a positive, friendly, enthusiastic and self motivated individual to deliver a high quality customer experience. Experience with customer service, cash handling and computer systems was desirable.

Casual lifeguard

We were also recruiting a part time qualified lifeguard to supervise parties and family swims at the weekend. A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification was required for this role.
