The Hub at Buckshaw has been a trusted part of family life in Buckshaw Village since 2011. Our nursery is rated Outstanding by Ofsted in every available area and holds the Millie's Mark accreditation, so you can be confident your child is in safe, expert hands. You will find us at The Hub, Unity Place, Buckshaw Village, Chorley, PR7 7HZ, just off the M6 with free parking on site.

We are more than a nursery. Under one roof you will also find the Splash swimming pool, Cappuccino cafe and a hair and beauty salon, serving families across Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Leyland, Euxton, Preston and Whittle-le-Woods. The questions below focus on our nursery, which is where families most often start.

Ages and opening hours

We welcome children from birth up to 5 years old, offering tailored learning and play programmes to suit each stage of development. Our team helps every child grow at their own pace, with the reassurance of an Ofsted Outstanding setting behind them.

The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.00pm. We aim to accommodate working families with these hours, so if you have specific scheduling needs, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.

Meals, activities and daily life

We provide balanced, nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, catering for a variety of dietary needs. If your child has any specific dietary requirements, let us know and we will work with you to make sure they are accommodated.

Safety and staff qualifications

Safety is our top priority. We have secure entry systems, CCTV and a stringent child safeguarding policy. Our staff are trained in paediatric first aid and follow comprehensive health and safety protocols, which is central to our Millie's Mark accreditation.

Our team members are highly qualified early years practitioners, many holding certifications in childcare, early education and first aid. We are committed to ongoing training and professional development, so your child always benefits from experienced, caring staff.

What happens if my child is unwell?

To keep all children and staff healthy, we ask that unwell children stay at home until fully recovered. Our team will also notify parents promptly if a child becomes unwell during the day.
