We had a surprise visit today from two police horses. The children had the opportunity to meet and pet the horses, and to speak with the officers who accompanied them all about the animals.

A surprise visit the children will remember

There is nothing quite like the excitement of a real-life surprise, and today our children at The Hub at Buckshaw in Buckshaw Village, Chorley enjoyed a wonderful one. Two police horses arrived at the nursery, and the little ones were thrilled to get up close, give them a gentle pat and find out more from the officers who came along with them.

Meeting the horses gave the children the chance to ask plenty of questions, learn how the animals are looked after and discover the important work they do out in the community. It was a happy, hands-on morning full of curiosity and smiles.
